Finding Hope

Programming

All of our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of widowed parents and are delivered through the power of peer support. Each facilitator is a widowed parent who brings their own understanding and experience to the group. You will be surrounded by others who get it, who can empathize with your grief on different level. You are not alone

There is no cost to attend any of our programs. Details of each group are listed below as well as a link to registration

Legacy Academy

The goal of our LEGACY Academy program is to provide education, understanding and friendship so we can empower widowed parents with skills and confidence to create a healthy grief journey to rebuild the future of their young family.

Re-creating your world after your spouse/partner has died is one of the most challenging aspects of grief. Every one of us will have our own unique challenges and experiences that we must face as we re-invent ourselves.

All topics are designed to help support you in gaining the skills, knowledge and confidence to not only model healthy grief to your children, but also to help rebuild your young family’s lives and dreams for the future.

Our groups work on a drop in format. Join if you can, come late too! Each session will have a topic to get us started and then conversation goes from there.

Once registered, you will receive an email the morning of group with the zoom link to join.

How do we raise, support and care for our child(ren) after the death of their parent? Where do we find the words to help them navigate their grief? How do we differentiate between normal childhood behaviour and behaviour of a grieving child? How do we help our children to not only survive this tragedy but to thrive and grow from it?
All these questions and more are addressed within this program
